I am one of those very unfortunate or fortunate people (depending on your point of view) who has a ‘sweet-tooth’. All my life I have enjoyed sweet stuff…..biscuits, cake, jellies, sweets, puddings…whatever. If it was sweet I was there 🙂 One of my favourite sweets was of course Rowntree’s Fruit Pastilles and if today I had a £ for every fruit pastille I ate in my life, I could buy a new house.
Up till now, sharing a packet of fruit pastilles was a real hardship…..mostly coz it would seem that everyone who likes fruit pastilles want the black ones. Finally Rowntree’s have solved that problem…….they have brought out a roll of just Blackcurrent! How sensible.
Ummmmm… I bet you cant put a Rowntree’s Fruit Pastille in your mouth without chewing..
Do they even still have that ad over there?
I remember it from a kid.
I thought they brought out the black one years ago. There’s a lolly shop not far from me here in Oz that imports a lot of international goodness and I recall buying packets of the black ones (yup they’re my favourite too) at least six or seven years ago. Maybe they imported them from the US or somewhere else.
Of course my real favourites as a kid and still today, would be Minstrels. Cause they melt in your mouth, not in your hand 🙂
Can ya tell I was raised by the TV.
hahahahaha!!!! they do!! it drives me nuts coz it is almost impossible to not chew after hearing the ad. 🙂
isn’t it fun to find candies that you just loved as a kid…..
there is a sweet shop in Long Beach, where I live that specializes in those long ago candies…..
😉
