For those that aren’t aware tonight is a Blue Moon and a special one too. It’s very rare for a Blue Moon to happen on New Year’s Eve. Below is some info from email —-

Only once in every 20 years, the blue moon appears on New Year’s Eve, as it will this year. On a plain physical level what is happening is that the moon is out of phase with the days. For it to make its complete cycle it’s about 29.5 days. It doesn’t coincide with our month, and that’s why it is out of sync with our Julian calendar. It’s the occurrence of two full moons in one month, which happens every two years, hence the popular quotation “once in a Blue Moon” which means ‘not very often.’ On average, there will be 41 months that have two Full Moons in every century, so you could say that once in a Blue Moon actually means once every two-and-a-half years.
On December 31, 2009, we have a Blue Moon Lunar Eclipse.
On a spiritual level it is as if it asks us to ‘flash forward’ into the next two years to see what we can see. This is the most important New Years Eve we have ever been gifted in a long time. No matter how much you do not believe prophecy from time and earth, it will still affect your energy field and your choices.
Someone suggested this exercise to me and I am glad to pass it forward. This New Years Eve 2009 create an I AM TEMPLATE, an energetic road map into the next two years.
Command the energies into a direction that serves the better good on all levels of your life.
Ask the Light/Angels/Divine Spirit/God/ to release what still pushes your buttons and pulls your strings.
Release the pettiness between you and others, the green-eyed energy that sucks your light.
Release the anger that drains you of your strength, just keeping it alive.
Release the expectations you have of others, as they ride their own horse of a different color.
The I AM TEMPLATE consists of an eternal circle
First, draw the large circle repeating the words I LIVE IN A PLACE OF PLENTY.
Second, on the inside of the circle place everything you plan on creating
in the next two years.
Put down all of your dreams, aspirations, wants, needs, as well what you want for the planet.
On the outside of the Circle write everything you are choosing to release.
Release all that does not serve your highest good any longer.
Be specific in those releases.

Not Just a Granny 
We live in Droitwich Spa, Worcestershire.
On New Year’s Eve as we set off across the town at approximately 7.45 p.m. we saw the moon in the sky.
It looked full but there appeared to be a shadow at the lower right edge. We asked ourselves, in passing, if it might be an eclipse. Then dismissed it from our minds.
Today, 8.1.10, I glanced at my stars in the Telegraph Stella magazine for the week of the New Year. To my amazement I read that :
“The lunar eclipse on Thursday rocks your world etc. ..This is very powerful stuff”.
I am a Cancer subject but a Christian also. I do not hold very much for horoscopes. However this was clear and so true, as after the death of my son in May ’09, I am clearly going through a transformation in the way I think and feel.
So, there had been a lunar eclipse and I hope that the “powerful stuff about myself” will bring some light and hope.

Thank you so much for your comment!!! Yes, indeed it was an eclipse. I was in Hove at the time and we had a very cloudy sky, but the moon was still faintly visible and i also noticed the shadow.
I am so sorry to hear of the death of your son, that must have been really traumatic for you. How are you managing?
I am also not really into the horoscope scene, but every now and then I am tempted to have a look and they are usually pretty accurate….gives me a bit of a scare!! so i dont look too often :).
the ‘waiting for moderation’ comment is when you post a comment on someone elses blog, they have to look at it and approve it first before it appears on the blog proper. keeps the spammers at bay and also the abusive people that you get. i have had one or two really nasty comments and i just delete them.
i like what you said in your final sentence; and i am sure that you will indeed receive some light and hope. life is such a journey with sudden twists and turns and events that rock you to the core, and it is interesting to note what you say about going through a transformation in the way you think and feel. what do you feel has brought that about? a natural progression in life or has it more to do with your loss?

I was not aware of the lunar eclipse until today, 8.1.10, when my stars for that week foretold “a transformation in the way I think and feel”.
We had seen a shadow on the moon but went no deeper than just mentioning it.
Perhaps the “powerful stuff” predicted will give me light and hope after the death of my son last May.
